You’ll be met at Cairo International Airport and privately transferred to the Hilton Cairo Grand Nile, roughly 40 minutes from the airport. The rest of the day is yours — to rest, to wander, to sit by the river with a glass of something cold and take it in.

Day 2 — Friday, December 11 · Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx

After breakfast, we spend the morning at the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx — one of the remaining Seven Wonders of the World, and one of the most extraordinary sights on earth. We’ll wander the Valley of the Temple, hear the stories of the pharaohs each pyramid was built for, and give you the time you deserve to simply stand there and feel it.

FOUR NIGHTS ON THE NILE

Day 3 — Saturday, December 12 · Cairo to Luxor · Karnak & Luxor Temples

A morning flight brings us to Luxor — often called the world’s greatest open-air museum. We’ll tour the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor before boarding the M/S Magic I, our 5-star home on the water for the next four nights. Lunch on board. Dinner as the sun sets over Luxor.

Day 4 — Sunday, December 13 · Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut

This morning is one you will remember. We cross to the West Bank of the Nile and enter the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried in tombs cut deep into the rock. We visit the breathtaking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved directly into a cliff face — a monument built by one of the great women rulers of the ancient world. We’ll pause at the humble Village of the Workers and the striking Colossi of Memnon before returning to the ship to sail on.

Day 5 — Monday, December 14 · Edfu & Kom Ombo

After breakfast, we visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Edfu, then return to the ship for one of the loveliest experiences of the journey — sailing between Edfu and Kom Ombo, watching Egypt drift past from the deck. In the afternoon, we visit Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Horus. Dinner on board as we continue toward Aswan.

Day 6 — Tuesday, December 15 · Philae Temple, Aswan

This morning we visit Philae Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site on its own island, renowned for the intricacy of its carvings and the serenity of its setting. The rest of the day is yours to rest on board — the deck, the pool, a book, a nap.

THREE NIGHTS IN CAIRO

Day 7 — Wednesday, December 16 · Aswan to Cairo

We disembark the M/S Magic I and fly back to Cairo, returning to the Hilton Cairo Grand Nile. The afternoon is yours — for a spa moment, an unhurried meal, or the view from your room.

Day 8 — Thursday, December 17 · Alexandria

Today we journey to Alexandria — the great Mediterranean city founded by Alexander himself. We visit the ancient Roman Theater, the mysterious Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa (the largest Roman funerary complex ever found in Egypt), pause for photos at the striking Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and tour the seaside Qaytbay Citadel. Return to Cairo in the evening.

Day 9 — Friday, December 18 · Old Cairo & Khan El Khalili

A morning tour of Old Cairo brings together the Citadel of Salah El-din, the storied Khan El Khalili bazaar, and the historic UNESCO-listed heart of the city. The afternoon is yours — for one last walk, one last coffee, one last purchase you’ll be so glad you made.

Day 10 — Saturday, December 19 · Farewell to Egypt

After breakfast, a private transfer back to Cairo International Airport, and home. You will not be the same woman who arrived.
